Car Repairs

Post by Gail »

Does anyone know someone who can repair my exhaust, it's blowing a bit and I just don't know where to go without being charged loads of baht because I'm farang. Mind you any Thai seeing my old banger would feel sorry for me I'm sure, but it gets me from A to B and that's all what matters to me. Mostly use the motorbike but the weather being somewhat unpredictable at the moment have to use the car. Have'nt quite mastered the art of riding the bike and holding the umbrella at the same time.

Gail if the hole is only fairly small and you can see where it is, you can buy from buy from the autospares shop a tin of muffler putty and a muffler bandage and you will probably be able to fix it yourself for about 300-400baht in total.
I looked in the HH Business Directory and this guy might be of use to you. Not sure where it is situated, but might be worth a try

I'm not sure if it's the same chap, but I'd recommend (at 2nd hand but reliably) L Service, leaving HH to Cha am, on the left about 50m before the new traffic lights past the Palace. Apparently speaks good English, does what is needed and no more, and doesn't charge the earth.
This is the way
