Tailors in Hua Hin

Post by tourneypro »

Morning,

I'm going to be in Hua Hin over Christmas and fancy getting some stuff made up by some tailors - nothing too splashy, just some casual/smartish troos and perhaps a few shirts. Who is the best tailor in Hua Hin, or the best value? I've had a suit knocked up by Mr Mike (est 1999!) and it wisnae great but a jacket he did was fab, so the jury's out on him as far as I am concerned, hence the research.

Also, is there anyone that can make shoes in Hua Hin? I've got the name of The Shoe Man in Bangers but it might seem like too much of a schlep if I'm sitting by the pool with a cold one.

Laters.

in a word no. go to bkk or pattaya. friend had entire wardrobe done in pat by king's tailor on walking street for about 80% less than in usa. his business requires he wear suits and he knows cloths..... so second time to thai and pays for entire trip with savings.

Not sure about tailors but there is a nice shop that makes shoes on Phetkasem Road. Can't remember the name but if you walk south along Phetkasem from the post office you will soon come across it on your left. Shoes on display look quality but have yet to try.

All of the Tailors use the same couple of cutting shops all of which are useless. If you want decent tailoring get it done in BKK.

Hi PJG,

Do you know this from experience then or just what you've heard? We are going to Bangers but I don't want to pee about having a fitting, second fitting etc. Wife, baby & all that, BKK isn't my idea of fun.

Cheers

I dont think any of them are any good. If you look closely at the stuff in the windows the finish is very poor.
