We have two tellys in the house. The bigger screen one (which is her's) is in the bedroom. The tiny one is in the front room (that's mine).
Guess who argues about programming when the aircon is on in the bedroom?
However, it seems to be sorting itself out. I fall asleep through beers about 9pm normally, so she's got the run of the house and tellys.
What's she putting in my food?

In Thailand we have one TV which is tuned to Thai soap operas, and here I have 30 channels of which only CNN and MTV are in English, so apart from a bit of news I’ve pretty much given up on watching the thing all together.
I find this very beneficial to the health of the mind, but perhaps not to the liver!

There is a "no thai tv" rule in my house.
no exceptions.

Might sound tough but it really settles the partner to not see thai tv for a few weeks. i can tell when the partner has being watching it elsewhere as it's suddenly all tantrums and whining about nothing.
But if the partner is already allowed to watch thai soap tv then it's too late.
i sound like a right bastraad with that rule but it is really helpful for the partner, really.

The telly was appreciated during my stay in HH, very boring maybe but in the evenings i watched the movie channels.

And i guess the housekeeping girls could not do without their soaps during working hours, cuz the channel of the tv was always changed to a particulair thai channel.

I'm trying to imagine you in the UK saying "I'm sorry, love, but I must insist you don't watch Coronation Street, Eastenders, Emmerdale Farm, etc., etc. - it's for your own good, I assure you..."

Having made that rule, I hope you don't watch Hallmark.

We do have a TV but its rarely on. We just watch the odd DVD, in the evening usually I just put one on for kids. I only have Thai TV which was a decision on my part as I didn't want to watch TV all the time as in the UK. It seemed such a waste in this lovely country...

I have a tv, it came with the house. I've turned it on twice. I would not have bought one. Similar reasoning to randy.

Had a mac at home and a pc over here. Must be honest its the one thing that I could never give up. I mainly use it for surfing and photoshop editing.
