Re: Farang doctors in Thailand

It is not a big point, I give up.
I have worked along side the farang Drs that I am talking about--why would I lie about such a matter?

Re: Farang doctors in Thailand

You can keep quoting the German Dr and his claim that he is the only farang Dr in Thai but it is NOT true.
I am a personal friend of two more but do not have their permission to mention their names.
One is from Bangladesh , the other is a lady Dr from the north of England.

Re: Thailand to target high-end tourists

Getting rid of the scruffy ex-pats will be high on the agenda. Friday nights will be formal night on Binty.
Tuxedos will be worn, with shorts and sandals on hot nights, of course.

Re: Is Sao Paulo hospital better than BKK Hua Hin hospital?

My Thai friends tell me that it is their opinion that the secret to atracting farang customers is to be the most expensive.
The old 'If you pay a bit more you get a bit more fallacy"
Many Thai Drs work at govt hospitals and at the International hospitals.

Re: Dengue fever in Hua Hin?

They have an interesting way of killing mosies in the Caribbean. When they are in water they have a small spike out of the water like a scuba tube. So you pour gasoline gently into the water and throw in a match.

Re: Man wanted in US nabbed in Hua Hin

Locals reported a foreigner to police as he was not working but had a lavish life style in HH.--WHAT?? I think all you lavish spenders better be careful, more meals in the night market and no buying high-priced bar -girl drinks down on the strip. If you buy the girls more that one drink they might t...

Re: Is Sao Paulo hospital better than BKK Hua Hin hospital?

A friend had a serious infected wound after a minor m'cycle accident. He askead a taxi to take him to BKK Hospital HH and the driver took him to SP. He thought that the care was excellent, the Dr spoke fluent English and explained everything to him.

Re: Venice comes to Hua Hin

I cant get excited about this project. Will it add anything to the experience of living in HH. Another place, rather like the so called floating markets with many shops with the same things that you can buy from many other shops.

I don't see any problem.
Nobody from a wealthy Thai family has been killed.
Only ordinary people.
NO problem

Re: Ask Dr Michael

I am not a practising Dr in Thailand I have no license and as I do not speak, read and write Thai I could never get one. Sadly, I am no longer working with the Bangkok Hospital in HH. In fact I am writing this at my desk in a hospital in Shanghai where I am setting up a Maternity unit (I have a Chin...

Re: Ask Dr Michael

Practising Doctors have less and less control of hospital policies. If admin will not let the patient past the admission desk then the Dr does not get to see them. If there is a life-threatening situation then the patient usually goes straight to the ER and if no funds are available they are then tr...
