Re: Did you leave kids behind to come here?

This maybe slightly off topic, I hope not.I am amazed at the number of parents in their retirement years are still helping financially to support their grown children. I know one 70+ guy here who is paying part of the mortgages on his 2 children's houses in the UK, One is 40+, the other late thirti...

You can install the TVmucho app on an Android box and connect to your TV with a HDMI cable.

Re: Sports Scoring

Back in the day in rugby a try was 3 points, then so many international matches were won 3 nil, 6 3 etc. Teams would just work the touchline and it became very boring, adding the extra points for a try made things more exciting. Rugby League works on a different system. Yes, those changes certainly...

Re: 2018 Football World Cup News and Prediction Tournament

DM - this is probably as good as it will get. The last round was the best I've seen him play in this tournament. Outside of scoring goals, it was the first time I'd noticed him playing football. Far from outstanding, but it was nice to see him getting a little bit involved. He can't be all bad BB -...

Re: Teatime TV

Sorry, I made a typing error with the price - it's €48/year, NOT €40, but still very good value. I've used it for a good 6 months now.
Android app is also available, so can also watch it from smartphone or tablet. Can only log in to one device at a time, though.

Re: Teatime TV

Like a couple of others that have already mentioned it here, I use TVmucho for all the UK channels. Don't need Android box and don't have to download software. Has TV guide and 7-day catch-up and very rarely freezes. Good value at €40/year. They offer 1 hour/day free so you can test it.

It's easy to change most common currencies, but make sure you do it in a bank. The rate is much better and you know you'll get valid notes.

Re: What are the TV service options in Hua Hin.

I'v been using TVMucho for about 8 months now and, apart from a small glitch early on (which they resolved within a day), the service has been excellent.

Re: Vietnam Visa

A friend of mine went a couple of weeks ago and, yes, the UK is one of a list of countries that do not need a visa to enter Vietnam. As Buksida said, you can stay up to 2 weeks. One thing to note is that you cannot do this more than 1 time within a month.
