Never said that
Never said it was your thread but what I am saying is that your the one with all the negative thoughts and no one wonts to listen to it.
Mark
I think the purpose of a forum such as HHAD is to enable people to openly dicusss issues/subjects freely of their own choice (obviously within the limits of both the Forum regs and the law).
Whilst the subject matter is not pleasant, the content makes for useful reading. I've lived in Thailand for 9+ years, but, as I am not married to a Thai, I am not so close to Thai Families or the Thai way of handling issues.
For me, I am quite pleased to have access to such a wide range of experiences and opinions.
I do know from personal experience, that its not necessary to 'look' for trouble here in Thailand. You can 'stumble' across trouble, and if you react in a manner not acceptable to Thai (but perfectly normal in your home country) you can rapidly become part of (or even the focus of) the trouble.
Therefore I beleive that the posts made are relevant and useful, and help people (even those with great experience here) to be better prepared adn to better integrate with our host neighbours and acquaintances.
There are many fun topics and trheads that are always active on HHAD, this particular thread is about a rather serious and real subject.
Its good too to read your opinions, but they are simply that, opinions, and therefore not exclusively right. Others have differnet opinions nad experiences and should be free to express whatever they feel.

tv
The sopranos is on tv tonight I bet there will be a few of you counting the hours down.
I did say you were becoming a drama queen. I would now like to upgrade that to have become. Just ignore the thread if it offends you, its really easy to do.
Demanding people stop posting about something will only work if you are a teacher and we are all pupils.
Hope its the episode where Christopher and Paulie chase the Russian through the woods and Paulie gets all that poison ivy on his new suit. Please please please

Mark, get real.
Its not something that would or should put off your average, 2 weeks in the Hilton Tourist but its something that all of us who have Thai family or spend a decent amount of time in Thailand know goes on, its a fact of life in Thailand, therefore its a valid topic.
Perhaps you'd be happier here...... http://www.mylittleponyforums.com/
