:lach: Well, that's the definition of being between a rock and a hard place!

Perhaps they can just play skins, and Thai's in white. Pete

It's not really this seasons shirt, Yellow is a regular Liverpool away colour though.

This seasons grey or green.

Funnily enough the Thai strips are red and yellow though.

A question. Premier league teams, 1st squads, are they in total currently made up or more British players or more foreign players? Pete

Pete,
Depends on the team - Liverpool and Arsenal I imagine have more foreign players than English/British (but don't forget in the eyes of UEFA, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish players are counted as foreign as we have separate national teams), while Chelsea and Manchester United probably have 50/50 or possibly more English, and then the further down the table you go I think the more English players you will find in each squad.

Thanks WL. Doesn't the head of FIFA (or whatever org runs things) have an ongoing rant that the Premier League is too filled up with foreigners? I think he also rants about the same issue concerning British teams in the Champions league. Pete

Platini, Yes, He's a jealous, bitter man, who is anti English.

It was fine when the Spanish and Italians were the superpowers, team and money wise, but now it's the Premier League he hates it. 8)

What will MU do now. They need 1 more point which they'll get against Arsenal. Then comes Hull right before the Champions League final.

I need MU to win that to save my Magpies, but assume they will play their reserves. :( and could blow the match.

Is their any rule that a side can't field all reserves just to rest others for an upcoming match? Pete

Pete,
I think you are making too many assumptions, as this weekend's results could leave Newcastle 3 points clear of Hull with a significantly better goal difference (7 better). Sunderland, and at a stretch, Portsmouth are also still in the mix and they play each other next Monday; if Sunderland lose and Newcastle win, your beloved Magpies go above them. I would say that this next game is the one that is the most important, and the good thing for Newcastle is that they go into it off a morale boosting win. Fulham have a terrible away record (only 2 wins and 10 goals scored) so i think a vital home win is on the cards. Also the last game of the season, away at Villa is easier than it might appear - Villa can't go any higher than 5th or any lower than 6th so are guaranteed European football, and by all accounts looked as if mentally they were already on the beach in their last match. Newcastle will have the stronger desire for the points (or should do) and I think may well win that one as well. If they do that then no one can catch them. As the old cliché goes, they have their fate in their own hands, unlike the three teams below them who need someone above them to slip up.

Thanks WL. I am nowhere near your level of analysis yet, maybe next season. :D Pete

Who on here, really hopes Newcastle get relegated at the weekend, and Hull can pull it off. As Noel Gallagher recently said, there's nothing more satisfying that watching Match of the Day and seeing fat Geordies crying!

I couldn't give a toss about the Geordies, but as I've said elsewhere, Hull's survival will net Plymouth half a million quid :D
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

I'm not too bothered because I think Phil Brown's a bit of a tosser too!
