You check the facts, I never commented on the Constitution, another poster did.
America won the Revolution and is now free to shoot anyone it can.
And you most certainly do: "The US Army's own estimates of the friendly fire death rates, for every war from World War II to Desert Storm, are between 10 and 14%"

250 jokes?

Post by LAnative »

Sj I can take humiliation as well as the next person, my life has been fill-ed with it. After all I was in the Army in Viet Nam and came home to insults like "Baby Killer" instead of parades like in previous generations, when in fact I NEVER killed any babies. Being a participant in the ONLY war the US ever lost was also humiliating. But I've had my fill of humiliation, especially by those who don't even know me.
But school kid name calling when I have never tried to offend ANYONE ( Believe me I CAN do it) pissed me off. Being called a "Drama Queen" because I made a parallel to the current state of the US and the Roman Empire and the demise of both due to war debt got me called names. A proper response would have been " Aren't you being a little overly melodramatic?" I wasn't trying to offend anyone with that parallel.
In the US a "Queen" is a homo who likes it in the rear. I am deeply offended by such references as I'm sure YOU WOULD BE. Technically the definition of a Drama Queen is someone who hysterically over dramatizes everything and makes it a big deal. But many Gay guys are not only queens but also Drama Queens. Queen is female and questions one's masculinity.
I am NOT gay, do not like ANYTHING in my rear or down my throat and I do not dramatize for effect in most of my life. The label was uncalled for and cowardly itself.
Then there is the label YOU gave me "Big Girl's Blouse". In America that is the same as calling someone a P..sy. (slang for female genitals). That means a cowardly, wimp, a weakling and a loser," deserving" of abuse. Again I was DEEPLY offended as you would be in my shoes. That insult was also uncalled for and not a response to any overt attempt to offend anyone, especially you. But you saw fit to act like a 10 year old and call names. WHY?
In my shoes you would want to prove to your detractors that they are wrong having never met you. That is my case. I think if you met me you would change your opinion. You have that opportunity if you want it. Of course you can also decline, that you will have to live with.
If one doesn't respond to challenges to his self -esteem one will lose it.
A simple apology will do.
Ball is in your court.

For a guy with nothing to prove, you seem to be spending most of your time trying to prove it.

And if I were gay (which I may or may not be, but what difference does it make?), I'd be DEEPLY offended by your post.

Would you really feel you'd lost your self-esteem if you didn't respond like this? I'd like to think I had enough not to be too bothered what other people thought.
This is the way

You wrote this about people not getting jokes and being facetious, satirical etc ie: banter and the like with this rant .......

Whoever labelled you a Drama 'Queen' did so because that's how you come across on here, I'm sure they were not inferring any sexual preferences, so there was no need for this offensive outburst on the subject. The same 'non-preference' goes for my labelling you a 'Big Girl's Blouse', this you clearly are so it's a statement of fact and not really up for debate :D.

Grow up.

LA,
I think you need to grow some bollocks, a thicker skin and maybe a bigger chin, you can't even deal with some banter, you wont win any favor by asking for apology's or by offering half the expat community out for a bit of a rumble.

We are all getting a bit tired of you spouting the same old dribble and refering to forum members as caged monkey's i think you are a wind up merchant as you said "this is good fun on the forum it's better than watching a soap on T.V) so i can't help but think this is all just a source of amusement to you.

If you have a genuine plausiable complaint against any member i.e SJ then take your complants to the mods, i am sure they will deal with that accordingly rather than you just dribbling on every thread.

One last thing you saying you only want to here from expats shows that you really do have tunnel vision, there are very many people here that dont live in HH that contribute constructive stuff to this public forum its a shame you are not one of them, just my opinion nobody else's.

statement of fact

Post by LAnative »

Big Girl's Blouse is a statement of fact? and there is no debate? Very Authoritarian I'd say. Opinions are not necessarily statements of fact. You don't HAVE all the facts, only the ones you want for your preconceived conclusion.
I never ONCE promised any kind of rumble. I generously offered to pay for all drinks while we got to know each other face to face. Anything else you read into it.
Perhaps you should order to the Mods to ban all input from any but local sources especially from American sources. After all it seems you are the master of all.

hmmmmm

Post by redzonerocker »

come on guys, take off the blouses, put down your handbags & stop all the dramatics, it's getting tedious

you cannot legally own a gun in thailand, end of!!!
if you do acquire one & end up shooting an intruder (god forbid!), the consequences will most likely be quite drastic, especially if, in your hazy, sleepy, drunken state, the weapon that you thought he was holding in the dark, was actually just a banana he just snaffled from your fruit bowl !!!!
