You may expect a shower, but they are rarely lasting more than one hour.
More specifically, I believe that Bo Fai is the driest place in Thailand. We make downtown Hua Hin look like Bangaldesh.
I don't know how strong this will be when it gets here, but odds are there will be a lot of rain involved. Looks as if it's on line for me, then across the gulf to HH. I'll update as new developments/direction is issued. Pete

Yes, unfortunately. I was there, on Boracay, in 1989 for a small one. The thatched roof of the bungalow I was in was blown off in the middle of the night and spent the rest of the night under the bed. No place else to go as all the buildings had thatched roofs then and all got damaged.
Anyway, at dawn it was heading off west over the ocean as the sun was coming up behind it from the east. Truly a spectacular sight seeing the blue sky behind this huge straight wall of sunlit black clouds heading off into the distance.
Hopefully it won't happen but if this storm is still formed and heads for HH, you'll have the same sort of show from the front end as it approaches over the Gulf. Pete

We have very strong winds here near Khon Kaen coming from the south east but sky blue and clear

The Nation paper said it got down to 9C in Chiang Mai last night. Maybe some cold front moving in from the north. My weather reading has taught me that when a high pressure system moves in and pushes out a low pressure system, it causes clear skies and wind. Or, it could be a lost Halloween peeee! Pete
