Though I did pass through in the mid 80's I was not carrying a camera. Pity as the place was so different then, if you blinked you would have missed it.
All my recent (2000 onwards) are mainly of the family, the farm, or the houses, plus the usual pics of temples etc which have been posted on the web by many others.
I did mention in an earlier thread that an Englishman came into our coffee shop in 2001 who worked for National Geographic and was also on a commission from the King.
He showed me some pics of the place he took in the early 70's which showed just a few huts where the Hilton is now. I wish I had a scanner at the time so I could have copied them.
He had been taking pics here for over 30 years so there must be a record of them somewhere, either in Nat Geo files or perhaps in the Royal archive.
If you have time on your hands it may be fun to search for them.
I will now go to the back of the class, for being so lazy and laid back in the 80's.
