Pete they don't actually need to blockade the airport, for there to be the potential for chaos for travellers.
If things get out of hand, as these things have a habit of doing, then it is bound to affect many people.
The UFDD has, IMHO, just by choosing to stage this "rally" on the main access route to Swampy, told the Government, that they could do the same as the PAD party supporters did in 2008 and bring the main international airport to it's knees.
There must be other, less obstructive venues, where they could stage this rally but then that would not hold such an implied threat to the present PM and his cabinet would it.
