just found out the only service in my area here is TOT, and they have to run a 3 k line from main road for 20K to me! And its not like out in the sticks!
Does this mean I can prohibit anyone else from jumping on the line?
Damn, so costly just to get net service!

Not if it works like the electric company. I had to pay a quarter million to have three poles and a transformer installed to get the necessary electric to my house from 100 meters away. I was told that after 90 days the transformer became public domain (even though I paid for it) and it would be used by anyone else in the area who needed it.Does this mean I can prohibit anyone else from jumping on the line?
Thankfully, that was several years ago and even though there are others on it now it has not been overloaded and we still get all the "juice" I need to run my water pumps, computer, a/c's, beer fridge, and TV.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Needs such a device that is connected to the Internet - whether it is a server, a smart phone or an IP-enabled TVs.
In particular, the demand from China took steps in recent months for a massive increase in registrations, as ICANN president Paul Twomey. That the addresses will go out as fast, but have also the ICANN experts by surprise. Appeals by institutions such as the Federal Network Agency, to return any unused IP addresses as possible met, also to small resonance.
Drastic measures are needed
For a long time there with the Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) is a technique that multiplies the number of possible addresses. Whew, I wasn't worried when I read that yesterday by Understudy even though I had actually heard that the net was going to run out of IPs and they were working on it... but... when I tried to sign on this morning I could not connect to the internet. I kept trying for an hour and still no connection. I reset my router and still no connection.... I began to believe... and went to the TV knowing this should be all over the news as half of the computer users in the world would be unable to reach the net this morning... nothing on the news.
Finally I turned off my modem, turned off my pc, turned on my modem waited for the normal connection light pattern, and turned on my pc and all is well.
What a coincidence that this happened exactly when the April fools hoax said it would. Had me worried there!

If you use Maxnet/3BB you'll have this problem pretty much everyday anyway.
