Apologist – Defender Yes when Thai’s are being slagged off yes I am very much an apologist.

Bearing in mind this is a local forum and it is monitored closely by the authorities. I think that HHAD does not need the kind of grief the authorities could create if they take exception to the derogatory, ill thought comments that certain members post.

I don't think you can make sweeping statements about situations here regarding the environmental challenges that affect different poster's situations on this forum compared to others. It will be different depending on what your deal is to allow you to stay here. Posters that are retired are going to face different eventualities and realities compared to those who open businesses, compared to those who work here and for the differing entities that may employ them.

It is naive to think you can start a thread like this and assume it applies to everyone that posts and that people see things the same as the OP, forums are, by their very nature, diverse and to not realise that is simply inexperienced and short sighted. Who can comment with absolute authority on behalf of everyone? Silly to even assume that you can do that. If everyone agreed then it would not be worth reading.

There are huge problems here in Thailand, the same as in any other country, highlighting its short comings is OK but you have to remember that there isn't such a thing as 'Free Speech' here.

Is there any wonder that Admin faces different problems to what you posters do?
