Yes, I tend to agree with that. Probably if you were a Leeds supporter (amongst several others), you'd feel pretty agrieved if it didn't happen and the appropriate penalty, including points deduction wasn't served.

I think they should be able to recover from 25% of the seasson gone and a points total of -3. It'll at least make WHU look good.

Not sure I get your tone there BB.

Is it the clubs fault they got stuck with two leeches?

Leeds went win or bust and spent a huge amount of money on players and hoping to qualify for the Champions League.

Liverpool were on a sound financial footing and had two arseholes come in and scrape from the top.

Massive difference!

By accepting the American's (borrowed) dollar, then yes the club belongs to the owners. If they mis-manage, then the whole club has to suffer.

The Green Army are going through similar mis-management. The previous management sold the club down the river by accepting the new owner's yen. We won't be happy if the club goes to the wall, but it's the owner's club, and he will do as he likes.

Going bust is going bust, regardless of why it happens.

F***'Em. There's a light at the end of the tunnel!

Would you think if City won the League this year it was deserved or a hollow victory?

I'm just comparing polar opposites.

GOOD!

Get the big man back!

Yeah but he would probably spend your 40 million on 2 crocked players, he does have history doesn`t he. (please don`t quote European Champions again, that effect wore off a long time ago)

to be fair, your lot hasn't exactly been prudent :|
it's not all about the big money signings, the wages & running costs have to be accounted for too.
Liverpool were on a sound financial footing and had two arseholes come in and scrape from the top.
when H&G bought in, the club were £40 million in debt, not a disaster but hardly sound. :|

in my opinion, skysports was just about acceptable as a money spinning ruse for the premiership, though i think more should have & should be done for the lower league teams.

when these big money sugar daddies came in to the game, football lost it's soul.
i mean, a club like liverpool reduced to high court wranglings, just aint right is it? :? :tsk:
manure will head down the same path if they aren't careful :|

Care to expand or is it random figures pulled from thin air?

How's Francis Jeffers doing nowadays?

Wages are 6th in the league so bar last season Liverpool were punching above their weight.

Arsenal pay more in salarys per year by the way,Benitez still finished above you more often than not though.

The majority don't even know it yet.

I've been waiting for this date for months, ignored the "relegation" texts and crap jokes because I was more interested in off the field stuff, this year was always going to be a write off, but talk to any "yernited" fan and they have not got a clue that the club is £700'000'000 in debt and could be on its arse in two years when the debt gets called in.

really?? :|

one big difference, the wages at arsenal come from club revenue, no outside sources.
the same can be said about the building of the new stadium & academy & training ground.
we may not have had much trophy success in the past 5 years but we still have our soul  :D
Benitez still finished above you more often than not though.
you do really need to check your facts on that one too! :D

Yes, two year old links won't change that.

What's £100'000'000 between friends?

The fans honestly think they are bullet proof, I've witnessed otherwise.
