Advertising and religion in rugby....... all getting a little silly
The International Rugby Board is once again under fire, this time for a directive on Bible passages written on players' wrist strapping.
Words written on the tape must be approved by the IRB in advance according to the rules issued to the eight remaining teams in the Rugby World Cup, the Daily Telegraph reports.
The IRB confirmed the directive, which specifically refers to biblical passages, however would take a "common sense approach".
Did anybody actually notice the OPRO logo on Tuilagi`s mouthguard? The IRB handed them massive publicity by bringing the "offence" to everyone`s attention. An own goal or what?

Exactly, 20K for wide spread advertising on an international stage....... cracking deal!
Brings back memories of Virgin ignoring warnings not to open one of their stores in Paris on a Sunday.... big fine, but great advertising for the store certainly far cheaper than going through an agency...

Can't advise where to watch the game, but I've been having kittens all week! BIG, BIG game for both teams obviously, with the bookies making Ireland slight favorites. Great chance for either team to get through to the final and best of luck to both....... obviously from my side it has to be Wales
Beelzebub's XV against the Garlic Munchers in the other QF of the day, with the Devil's own being favorites..... but are they going to get a backlash from a wounded French side after their shock loss to Tonga?

Tomorrow's round of matches are seriously difficult to call - the bookies have the Paddies and Beelzebub's XV's as slight favourites. Really, both could very well go either way..... The ''True'' Holy XV are looking good, but so are our Celtic cousins...... Back-rows and the Centers could be the keys to the game. If Wales give away as many penalties at the breakdown as we did against Fiji, we're going home - if we compete well there, I see Wales by 5..... of course I'm just a tad biased
On the 2nd QF, it depends which French team turn up....... with their tails between their legs after Tonga, and an unimpressive (so far) English team will go through by 10. A wounded French XV looking to redeem themselves and England could be looking at a loss in the teens. For once, I don't think this one is going to be a dour forward battle.

France with a BIG drop after some poor performances, Wales and Ireland moving up whilst England hold on to 4th - the list could well look a hell of a lot different after the QF's though......

Don't panic BB - despite the fact that I'm Welsh, I don't c*ck-up with rugby if I can avoid it ..... Jass is not a member of the Forum (neither is benks)..... they are simply work colleagues in the UK office, so would not see the post. Anyway, as you say, Jass is in 1st place so doubt he really needs the likes of us to help his flukey @rse!!
