Please allow me to introduce myself

Post by apj68 »

Hi Everyone,

I've spent quite a bit of time of late browsing through this forum. Has proven to be a great procrastination tool while I delay doing any actual work. Stumbled across it while looking for Hua Hin info prior to a trip a little while back. Thought it only polite to actually join and introduce myself.

I am Australian (Victorian, Melbournian) happily married to a delightful Thai lady and we have a four year old boy. Many trips to Bangkok and have visited Hua Hin once. My wife loves the place and I tend to agree.

Of late a have pretty much come to despise living in Melbourne and really need a change of scenery. Have lived in Asia before (Singapore and Malaysia) and would love to come back. The marital status would make Thailand the obvious choice. Current financial commitments mean this will probably not happen in the near future, but one can always dream. ($4 million first division tattslotto tonight :D )

Will definitely make sure Hua Hin is on the itinerary next time we are back in Thailand, hopefully with plenty of advice from the crew on this forum.

Cheers and have a great day!

Anthony

Welcome to the forum Anthony... there are lots of other Aussies on here, always good to have another.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I do love that song, unfortunately I have very little style and dubious taste.

Hi Antony, welcome to the forum.

I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew in Melbourne at the moment for a year or so, but they also love Hua Hin.

Hope you get your wish and eventually get to live here.

Hi BigBoy not yet but we are coming in a month or so but not to Hua Hin.
We are going to BKK then, Chang Mai to meet up with family and to Nakon Sawon then on to Vietnam, Laos and then if we have time, to China. Giving HH a miss this visit but may get there for Thai New year in April, God willing and the river don't rise any more.
I can't swim.
