Is there anywhere else to buy artificial xmas trees in HH or close surroundings ?
BigC have them in every branch that I have been in, so I guess Pranburi will have them.

Just make sure there is an actual tree in the box, as the last time that I picked up one from them the box was empty when I opened it at home! To give credit where it is due a phone call to the branch where I bought it resulted in them dispatching a replacement via motorcycle delivery at 8-00 pm the same night.

cos they ain't as easily bullied or manipulated by vociferous minorities or have politically correct wowsers imbedded in their councils !

Absolutely spot on

I can also remember working with a few guys from Sweden back around '97, who had obviously never ventured East of Stockholm before. They were unpacking there 'office' equipment that had been shipped from Sweden. This included a plastic Christmas Tree. They explained that they brought it due to Thailand being a Buddhist country and that they were not sure if they could get Christmas decorations in Bangkok.

The tree had 'Made in Thailand' moulded on the plastic bases and I sent them off to Robinsons on Sukhumvit to buy their replacement broken decorations......... 8) :banghead: :banghead:

My first Christmas at the old Hare and Hounds involved a last minute dash to Big C Pranburi - there was little else then - for a tree and baubles. A fairly easy and quick job? No - all the girls hopped in the pickup as well. All went their own ways with trolleys in Big C. It took ages to round them all up and get them and their assorted shopping back in the truck, with difficulty (They hadn't realised that 'mama' was also buying a TV.)
To cap it all I found that we had to pick up someones kids from a school on the way back, and squish them in as well.
Welcome to Thailand! All good fun.

I guess so, but Pranburi is closer to Hua Hin.

I'm working every single night over the Christmas period so won't see any of it. Which suits me just fine.
