Love your son Lee

Think about it
Dear Mum and Dad. Have you seen my ex-wife? I did nothing wrong for 20 years but she wanted to 'find herself' and ran off with her Yoga instructor. The courts understood and gave her the house, the kids, the car and half my pension, while the child support agency mugged me for what was left. I'm within walking distance of the soup kitchen. Could you lend me $6000?

Btw. Have you seen my new bar girl? She's young, slim, beautiful and so disillusioned with Thai men, she'll accept my hair lip, club foot and beer gut for only $200 a month. On top of that she cleans, cooks, irons, clips my nasal hair, without asking me to lift a finger. If she rips me off, she'll never make off with 1/10th of the swag my 'respectable' wife did.

"What do you think, Dad?"

"Hang on, son. I'm coming with you." :naughty:

Then you've got the other scenario. The 50 year old rat catcher from Barnsley is having a bit of a job finding a wife. He decides to seek her out at the local disco, so slapping a tub of Brylcreme on his Bobby Charlton, he enters the club and props himself up at the bar. The music is thumping, the girls are bopping but he's a bit out of practice so decides to opt for the ugliest woman in the place. There she is, all 18 stones of boobs banging on the floor in perfect syncopation as the Bee Gees thrash out 'Stayin' Alive'. Turning her head towards him, she gives him a killer smile, as one of her pendulous breasts cannons off the pile of handbags her friends are dancing around, and into an unfinished pint of Special Brew.

"Piece of cake" he thinks and slinks over.

"Wanna Dance?" he confidently asks.

As if he'd covered himself in elephant dung after-shave, the slapper turns her back on him and our hero returns to the bar, flushing with humiliation... the laughter of her friends seared permanently into his memory. He books his flight to Bangkok the next day.

6000 baht seems cheap to me. :thumb:

Mr Plum..excellent reading..it's put a smile on my face for the rest of today..

Mags..I believe most of what you're saying. One point to be noted is that IF the girl is an asset to the bar & it's owner, you may see the same scenario as if you'd gone to a temple and paid the lady to 'release' a few birds from her cage..yes, they come back! If the girl is a good 'earner' for the bar, then in many cases the Mamasan will work the whole deal out first with her..then they BOTH win... :tsk:
But it's a regular thing with B/Gs to be greedy, so in many cases as soon as his plane takes off she's back to the bar, rings the bell funded by his 'leaving donation' and the rest of the staff will keep it hush-hush 'cos that's how they all work..including the Mamasan.. :naughty:

As far as I know my Mrs will get both the girl, & the man together and between them do a deal
(if the man has been a good customer and spent large money in the bar already, then my 'dragon' may waiver any such 'release' fee).
But over the years it's amazing how many times the girl just walks straight back in the bar wanting her old job back..be it 3 months later or 3 days.. :guns: T.I.T

ok, been here 2 days now, and she has not even mentioned anything about this. I'm not gonna bring it up either. But I'm sure it will come up in conversation soon, but the bar in question isn't even open, may give you a few clues to which bar it is, but there are several under construction :)
Good to meet you JW yesterday, and thanks for the chat.
I'll keep you posted when it does get mentioned.

Sounds like its all gone smoother than anticipated, lets just hope that you are not asked at some point to pay a bar fine even though the bar is closed, that would be a first even for thailand.

Have a good holiday and hope it goes well for you :D

Hello again, Been a week now, and not even a mention of the bar fine. Been in to the bar and said hello to mamsan and owner and some bar staff even though it is still under construction. Nothing was mentioned by anyone in there and I dont think it will get mentioned. Having a great holiday and the relationship is going well between us. She has not asked for any money, she wants to pay her own way everyday when we eat or go out on a trip somewhere. Obviously I refuse for her to pay but she insists sometimes that she pays. Spending everyday with her has made me believe that I "may" have found the diamond in the rough, so to speak. Thanks for all your messages everyone.
