How good is that for Joe Root. Youngest to hit a century at Lords and in front of his watching parents. Terrific. I wonder if they'll give him a chance to get his double hundred, then declare?

Re: The Ashes Test Series
Yes, well done Joe - he appears to have taken root at the crease...
Not the most thrilling day's cricket, but understandably so, and it certainly took off after tea.
Interesting bit of controversy with the Bell 'catch'. I have to say it looked to me as though it hit the ground first, but Messrs Warne and Gower were quite adamant it was clearly out.
Anyway, let's hope England don't bat on for too long this morning - they really shouldn't be thinking about making the game safe now, even if there are 2 days left. Anything but a win should be unthinkable. Maybe give Root a crack at 200 before declaring?
And my cricfree stream was as near as dammit perfect yesterday, which made a nice change.

I'm still limited to PTV, which, as you say, was fine. The Sky Sports stream is better quality but I am getting a message 'Flash Player not working'. Must be a browser issue.dtaai-maai wrote:And my cricfree stream was as near as dammit perfect yesterday, which made a nice change.

I was watching Sky Sports 2 thankfully - fewer breaks and they're not remotely interested in Pakistan v WI!

You get those messages all the time on the football streams.MrPlum wrote:I'm still limited to PTV, which, as you say, was fine. The Sky Sports stream is better quality but I am getting a message 'Flash Player not working'. Must be a browser issue.
It's usually a 3rd party software application that you don't need, especially if you're getting a good enough picture.
They'll ask you to download their app, then bombard you with ads & spam

I would do as big boy says though & check if you have the latest version of adobe flash player.
Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

Re: The Ashes Test Series
Now England have an uphill battle on their hands. Aussies declare 527 for 7. Any bets on a typical English batting collapse and a follow on?
OH forgot, it's at Old Trafford. Manchester weather will help England survive

Re: The Ashes Test Series
well the second test was a thumping, but the first was razor edge close, and the Aussies are nothing if not fighters to the end. It is a wonderful series so far, played by some talented men under enormous scrutiny and pressure. I for one, am enjoying this battle immensely and would love to see a cliffhanger finish for the sake of the game ( with the result going our way of course)
what is it about the ashes that makes it such a great competition?

Re: The Ashes Test Series
England have to bat steady if they are to avoid a collapse and face a follow on - no doubt that the Oz's have their heads in front on this test, so it could indeed go down to a cliff-hanger unless of course the weather intervenes?

Who would have thought that it would rain on a Monday in Manchester!
