Pete
the website 'thaiflood' is still active; you can choose the Thai language map with a blog update or the English version with a color-coded status by province. Click 'View this map in English Version'.

BTW the soi in front of the house in Bangkok was almost ankle deep last Thursday, has been reduced to standing water today, but... the drains are still full, as is the klong that runs through the moobahn. Deja Vu, 2011? (Waist-high water for three months...) :(

Dam levels spark fears
Chao Phraya banks risk bursting, officials warn

http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/local/3 ... on-the-way

Rising water levels in dams along the Chao Phraya River are causing concern, with rain forecast for the Central Plains and Bangkok this weekend likely to put them under increasing pressure.

Authorities are downplaying the prospect of further floods, though they warn that as water is discharged from the dams, the river could breach its banks in some areas. Flooding in the Northeast has claimed at least nine lives over the past week.........

So much rain, so much flooding, and yet ironically, I'll most likely be spending 300 baht a day getting water delivered within the next two to three months.

^ Why Takiap, city water outages where you live or dried up well? We've had no stoppage at our house this year. In past years they have stopped for 12 hours a day during the dry season occasionally but my storage tanks took care of that but I've not seen any halts in city water this year so far.
