BTW the soi in front of the house in Bangkok was almost ankle deep last Thursday, has been reduced to standing water today, but... the drains are still full, as is the klong that runs through the moobahn. Deja Vu, 2011? (Waist-high water for three months...)

Floods triggered by heavy rains have claimed at least nine lives in Thailand this month and affected up to 1.5 million people, according to the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department.
Flooding has been reported in 23 of 77 provinces, the department said on Tuesday.........

Northeast, East brace for tropical depression approaching from Vietnam
The Royal Irrigation Department is keeping a close eye on the impact of the upcoming tropical depression from Vietnam, which might affect several provinces in Thailand's Northeast and Eastern regions..........

^ Why Takiap, city water outages where you live or dried up well? We've had no stoppage at our house this year. In past years they have stopped for 12 hours a day during the dry season occasionally but my storage tanks took care of that but I've not seen any halts in city water this year so far.
