Petrol Station on Soi 94
Re: Petrol Station on Soi 94
As far as I know, some of the smaller filling stations do charge more per liter than the bigger places do. I've also noticed it costs me less to fill my tank at the shell garage than it does at the Esso garage by the traffic lights.

Re: Petrol Station on Soi 94
You need to watch them at the Esso station. I was sure I'd been cheated there before but I caught them in the act just before New Year. I pulled up to the front pump of the two nearest the road and got out. The woman who was serving noticed I was a farang and told the young lad who was also serving to fetch a mate and his motor bike to the other pump behind my car (yes, she was quite blatant, obviously assuming I didn't understand). He duly put 100 baht worth of 91 octane in the bike and instead of putting the hose back in the cradle left it resting at the front of the pump. Despite the fact that I was out of the car and was obviously watching the lad then tried to fill my car using the same hose. I said use the pump I was parked at. But the two of them insisted that pump didn't work. So I said OK, but made them cradle the other pump's hose first and reset to zero. Not happy! Don't they know we know how to work petrol pumps?

^ That's the same thing that happened to me once at the Mobile station south of the flyover (I suspect), but I didn't figure it out until I knew I paid 200 to 300 baht too much and thought back about what had happened and remembered a motor bike pulled up close behind me who not only filled his bike but a red gas can as well. I had no proof so there wasn't much I could do. Must be another common scam.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
