Not been much good news around this week but I'm pleased with this, another 90 mins game time for the players to bed in. Not too far from me so I'll be there.
I wonder if the coach will get time off from TOT to be there as well?!

Neither, I have no passion for cars, they are simply a mode of transport that get you from A to B.Big Boy wrote:If you had a Ferrari and a Ford Cortina, which would get most attention from you?
I don't think so. Better team, that are rooted to the bottom of the premier league and in all probability are favourites to be relegated. Bigger ground, currently just in terms of capacity but still only 5000. Larger support, no way. TOT have been gypsies over the past 6 years relocating many times in an effort to increase their fan base. They are very poorly supported.Big Boy wrote: I guess they've bought a better team, bigger ground and larger support.
I have only been watching Hua Hin this season so I am unable to make an objective judgement on this statement. I am however intrigued to know who these players were and which of our regular starters you think they are better than so I can get an idea of their calibre. Could I have names please so I can look them up, I am interested to see where they are now.Big Boy wrote:don't forget, we won our league last season (with several players better than we have now)
OK, here's a few:Geordie Dancer wrote:I am however intrigued to know who these players were and which of our regular starters you think they are better than so I can get an idea of their calibre. Could I have names please so I can look them up, I am interested to see where they are now.
Tbh, in my opinion, he's the only one that would come close to a place in the team with the squad we have now. He was indeed very solid at the back. The way the foreigner rule is though, I'd play Pu + Da together every week if fit. Is Lampty better than the foreign centre half we have now in Valery? I'm honestly not sure, possibly still too early to tell.Big Boy wrote:Lampty - Solid at the back. The only defender we have in the same class is Pu. Oh so very, very strong.
Don't get me wrong, not saying Stephens was a bad player but far too much of a liability to be considered a good player. Would be interesting to see the percentage of the cheap goals we gave away last season(of which there were a lot) were a result of a poor decision, misplaced pass or mistake by him. I reckon it would be a v high percentage.Big Boy wrote:Yes, I said that we'd all have differing opinions. IMHO our best man by far was Stephens - in Thai football I've never seen anybody read the game better. Our midfield still have to prove themselves for me, and I'd prefer Theerawat and definitely Sutin - better the devils you know (and proved at this level).
Yes, he couldn't do a thing wrong in my eyes, and rarely did.Sabai Sabai wrote:I'll give you 1 thing, you've been consistent in your praise of Stephens. You've clearly been a fan of his for a long time.
