I'm half Scots by parentage (my mother & all of her family are Scots & all live in Scotland, apart from her) and I'm Scots by birth (born in Aberdeen). all I can say is, I couldn't give two figs about this one way or another. Why should I? I live in LoS now. I'll never go back there to live, even if the wheel comes off for me here. So, I really don't care either way.
I actually don't think that Scotland will do all that well on their own, but I could be wrong. I'm sure subsidies will be in place to help out...
As for the title of this thread, Wales & Northern Ireland too? Yeah, right. Something tells me NI will either stay with UK or go back to Eire. I can't see them even wanting to be an independent state/nation. And Wales? Plaid Cymru's dream come true? Interesting thought
Jockey, you really need to stop taking this so seriously. The sassenachs on this board were not personally responsible for Butcher Cumberland, the putdown of the Jacobite Rebellion, the banning of wearing the tartan, the battle of Culloden or the subsequent massacres or the exile of Bonnie Prince Charlie (an arrogant fop, more French than Scots who would have done a lot better listening to his advisors than running off half-cocked further into England where he had no support!) And, yes, I'm aware the banning of the tartan & weapons etc came after 1746. None of these guys are that old! Honest!
