OK folks - the press conference was held yesterday and a new website has been put online with all the details of this year's festival, http://www.huahin-jazzfestival2007.com
Only 2 days as already stated, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th June, and the headline acts are Montefiori Cocktail on the Friday and Caroline Henderson on the Saturday, both scheduled to play the last hour from 11pm. It doesn't say anything on the website but I am guessing that there is only going to be one stage this year, on the beach, as there is only one schedule which runs from 3.30 pm to midnight.

Yes the token cartoon website thrown up a couple of weeks before the event doesn't really give it justice (or much information).

If there will be only two days and one stage it had better be a damn large one judging by the turnout last year, lets hope they get the tide times correct this time if its to be on the thin strip of sand adjacent to the Hilton. There also seem to be fewer international performers this year although HHAD has had no shortage of bands enquiring about performing.

Anyone interested in meeting up at the gig sign in here!

I arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 6.00pm on the 8th.

I'll be there for about 11:30pm. :thumb:

Saturday afternoon maybe better, possibly meet somewhere in town at 2pm and then venture on to the fest.

am just slightly worried about the high tides (HW - high water) - towards midnight there's not too much beach left:

Fri 8 Jun
HW
23:50
1.9 m

Sat 9 Jun
LW
16:27
0.9 m

Sun 10 Jun
HW
00:19
1.7 m

Nope, much as I'd like to, I'll be in the shop, trying to sell as much as possible before it closes (oh, ok, falling asleep over a book! ). Have fun!

I'm up for it and will try not to walk out if I find they're not selling beer between 3-5pm.
