Lost wrote: Fri Mar 19, 2021 9:30 pm Just a heads up, I noticed the new Justice League is on yts. Dunno how long it's been out. Been looking forward to this one. Looks good and pretty decent reviews all round.

I'm half hour into this and just realised it's not a completely new release, it's the directors cut of the 2017 movie. How zack snyder intended the film to be before he left the production midway. 2 odd hours of extra movie. Bloody enjoying it so far! :D

Edit : did wonder why it was a 5gb download!

HHTel wrote: Fri Mar 19, 2021 10:07 pmI've not watched it yet, mainly because it's just over FOUR HOURS long. I will schedule some time in my life to watch it.
Christ, I've not watched the likes of "The Irishman" yet as it's 3hrs + long!!

The daft thing is whilst I veer away from movies over 2.5 hrs, I can sit and watch a series for 8 bl**dy hrs!!:
You can treat it like a series as it's split into 6 parts (and an epilogue). Binge it that way. :D

Well... I must have fallen asleep or switched off during the, widely panned, initial release of Justice League as I couldn't remember much of the movie at all. Just sat through the 4hr Zack Snyder version. What a cracking, all guns blazing, action fest! Literally never stops! Suitably dark in places, too. Loved it. Every minute.

Escape from Pretoria (just released on Amazon Prime)

Daniel Radcliffe uses a broomstick to escape from prison, where one of his fellow inmates is Professor Quirrell. It takes him a year. It feels longer...

Really enjoyed this recently released animation yesterday. Visually stunning (you'd expect nothing less with a $100 million budget!). Nice feel good film.

Raya and the Last Dragon

On Disney+ or the usual torrent sites.

Yep, at 4 hours its the longest movie I've seen but I broke it into two parts. It was a recommendation by the kids so only just seen this. I'm not usually a fan of the super hero movies but this one was a cracker, action all the way, and made much better by the lovely Gal Gadot.

^^Yes, very good, I watched it yesterday. I'm not sure how much it adds to the original 2017 film (apart from 2 hours, of course...), but I'd have to watch that again to find out, and that's a step too far!

Zack Schneider's Justice League: Justice is Gray just released on HBO Max (HBO Go in Thailand). No actual changes to the edit, except the color palette is monochrome. Some may want to watch it. Should be available on usual torrent sites.

Just watched a very good film. The Mauritanian, a true story about a supposed terrorist kidnapped and taken to
Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp. Well worth watching

Was downloading the above recommendation to watch but then The Father caught my eye.

'A man refuses all assistance from his daughter as he ages. As he tries to make sense of his changing circumstances, he begins to doubt his loved ones, his own mind and even the fabric of his reality.'

An Anthony Hopkins acting masterclass. Brilliant. It's also possibly the saddest film I've ever watched. From start to finish. No Action. Just sad all the way through. Not a film I'll probably ever watch again. Deserving of all its praise and no doubt Oscar nominations for Hopkins ahead. Edit: Just seen that Oscar nominations are already done and The Father has 5 or 6.
