Just watching s02 e09. This programme is worth watching for the Bannon/Caine connection alone, without it being an impersonation, but it's excellent on so many levels.dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 11:49 pm PENNYWORTH
The back story of Alfred, Batman's butler (definitely the Michael Caine version - Jack Bannon as Alfred even sounds like Caine) after he leaves the SAS. It's set in a quasi-dystopian London in the 1960s (-ish, like Gotham City there's an element of dark fantasy). I'm only on episode 4 (of 10 in season 1, season 2 is currently screening), but I'm enjoying it very much.
The pilot is available on Amazon Prime, I downloaded the rest from eztv.
And here's me thinking it was about Leonardo the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtledtaai-maai wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 12:40 am Oh look, Amazon has a new series about Leonardo da Vinci! (Sateeb, he's a famous old Italian artist, not the American actor who starred in The Beach.) Being a sophisticated and intelligent sort of chap, I thought that would be right up my street. And then I read this...![]()
