Re: TV series worth watching/downloading

Post by thecolonel »

I've watched Billions since the start and always thought it was 'ok', decent enough stuff...

Last night I got about 10mins into what I think is Ep 2 of the latest series( 5?..to be honest I can't be a*sed to check). And I just thought 'what a load of contrived bollocks this is!'

I just couldn't watch it any more.

Is anyone going to try and talk me off the ledge, or should I jump into my list of other series?

I made the mistake of starting Succession Series 3(2 episodes) before realising not all episodes available yet.... Schoolboy error!

In meantime will attempt to watch S1 & 2 again as it been a while

Seriously screwed up people sometimes, not always, make for good entertainment.

But the production/acting are outstanding

If the writers can sustain the excellent storyline for a couple of more seasons I would put Succession up there with Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad etc..

A few series that I've enjoyed have kicked off new seasons:

Yellowstone - season 4.
Narcos Mexico - season 3.
BBC Top Gear - season 31.
Star Trek Discovery - season 4.

Westworld - season 4, in a couple of months.

All available from here: https://eztv.re/

Anyone got any sources/links for the HBO documentary on Tiger Woods released earlier this year?

Not on PB...

TIA

Downloaded and watched, thank you kindly Sir

Would I recommend it? Hmmmm, on balance yes I would.

Not earth shattering but well put together. The scandal stuff is quite an eye opener!

If you watched, and liked, Narcos (Buksida) you may like Queen of the South. It starts a little slow but a few episodes in it picks up for 5 seasons worth.

I watched on Netflix but imagine it's available for download.

I enjoyed the first couple of seasons a few years ago, but haven't got back into it yet. A timely reminder!
Haven't read the books.

Sweet - time to start reading again, I always try to stay ahead with the books since they're usually better than the TV show.

Literally just finished Season 3

I don't think I quite enjoyed it as much as the first two....

However, overall it would still walk into my top 5 all time drama series

I hope really there's a fourth season
