And that's because the German's are throwing away their automotive industry by not keeping up with the times and delaying the inevitable isn't going to help them at all.
To be fair, Volkswagen have seen the light and are trying regain lost ground but the rest of them are struggling.

To be honest, Germany has always put it's own interests above the EU when needed and it doesn't matter who suffers, whether it be the Irish or Greeks. And they are doing nothing different here, throwing the whole of the EU's plans on future sustainaibility out of the window. If others suffer or prosper, just so long as they protect their own, so be it.

It won't work, I spend my working life in a prosperous European country and a lot of those drives that used to have Mercedes, BMWs or Audis on them are now occupied by Teslas and other EVs.
I saw a Tesla Y in Hua Hin today and it looked awesome, OK, that's a 2 million odd baht car but so are all those black Mercedes that you see in Thailand and the Tesla looked better.

As it’s been rather quiet on the Forum these past couple of days, I thought I’d try to get some attention from our EV supporters. I’m not against them at all, but certainly in the UK, what ought to be a relatively easy journey can turn into a nightmare!!

I've had a nightmare journey in a petrol car when the fuel filter clogged but it never made it to the newspapers!

Even allowing for this being in the Sun, I suspect that this type of incident is more common than fuel filters getting clogged!!
