I don't know, but I've read they are desperately trying to find alternatives for Pranburi water, with the capacity at the dam below 25%. Meanwhile, my daughter is on town water (without a tank) and has been rationed for several days already. So probably both.
Has anybody else noticed the different smell of water since Songkran? My daughter (doesn't live at my house) mentioned it a couple of days ago. She doesn't have a tank, and says the (she thinks its chlorine) smell is very strong. We have a massive tank, but the smell is gradually becoming more prominent. I liken it to TCP, but that's a very old nose
I presume a different source/receiving additional treatment. It certainly doesn't bother me.
I wouldn’t have full confidence that the water is properly tested to ensure it meets minimum standards - maybe I’m too pessimistic, but I certainly would consume any orally (hold your breath when talking a shower)

My limited knowledge of pool chemistry says that chlorine in water only has a strong smell after it has combined with a lot of impurities in the water (the kids' pool at a swimming baths will always smell more!). So the chlorine must have to be working overtime in the current supply. Let' hope it's enough.
I certainly don't drink or brush my teeth with tap water, although I do clean my toothbrush with it.
I don't mean to be alarmist but I've just got home to my wife going on about severe water supply problems looming.
She's been looking at some stuff on her internet and the word is that following some community meeting yesterday, an announcement has gone out that Pranburi dam will stop supplying water from Dec 1st to Jan 6th 2025 because some gate needs to be fixed. People are being advised to prepare containers to see them through this time. Other people are saying they don't have a supply around HH already.
Is this for real? Can anyone confirm? Hopefully, It's just internet drivel.
