It really is useless - I've tried that number several times and keep getting the engaged tone. :tsk:
Seriously DM - how many times have I got to tell you to use the country code!!

Getting too old I guess... :( Missed the later KO with Argentina playing host to the Crims :duck:

Quite a surprise and certainly not the result I expected - the cr@ppy conditions however playing its part. Still trying to find a replay or hilights....

SA v NZ.... An exciting game IMHO and not the game I was expecting - NZ taking it to SA in the forwards big style. SA's "Bomb Squad" saved things with SA's Front Row on the back foot initially - hell, NZ looking far from the "Lost Team" as several have said recently, and things are going to be interesting in Cape Town next week.

The (English) Ref (and his associates) was/were pretty dire - couldn't ref the Scrum to save his life (placing the ball behind the Front Row is OK apparently), missed forward passes/knockons/Lineouts and the rest. I honestly don't think the result would have changed, but refereeing at this level should be at the highest level - not this cr@p.

SA have a problem at Scrumhalf IMHO though some think he's great - momentum lost there for sure. Have to say, NZ's 10 is an arrogant twat :tsk:

Some changes to the HHF Prediction League this week.... But as Arnie says, "I'll be back" :neener:

Congrats to JJBones on storming away - a 6 Place Uplift this week!!

Last week's matches didn't go the way I thought. I had SA to win, but the match and result was far closer than I was really expecting, especially at altitude. This weekend will drop them down to sea level and there have been changes in both teams. NZ will take a hit missing "Blackadder", but the benches look more even than they were last week - SA taking full advantage of theirs late on in Jo'burg.

The Crims took an unexpected victory (IMHO) over the Pumas in dire weather - which in hindsight probably favoured them. The weather forecast is vastly different for this week and personally I expect a different result, but my "Gypsy-like Predictions" thus far haven't exactly been wonderful!

Anywho, Here's to ROUND 4!! :thumb:

South Africa vs New Zealand: -

Another classic between these two, despite several errors from both sides. The arrogant bugger that is NZ’s Fly-Half McKenzie kicked all of NZ’s points, but missed two sitters which ultimately proved very costly for the “Blackness”. It’s certainly not often NZ fail to score a try in a Test Match (the last time being 2018). SA on the other hand scored 2, one apiece for Captain Kolisi and Marx – the former had another cracking game and it’ll be a loss to the game when he calls time on his playing days.

A tight 1st Half with both defenses proving incredibly difficult – NZ though probably coming out on top with their Backrow and turnovers….. 9-3 in NZ’s favour at HT.

Seemed to be a similar story as last week, with SA’s Bench proving decisive and the Boks taking control in the last 20 mins. Both sides were reduced to 14 at times, SA on 2 occasions, with 3 Yellow Cards in total being handed out.

SA ran out 18-12 winners, the 1st time in 75 years that they have beaten the All Blacks in four straight Tests - not a record Scott Robertson would want after now losing 3 out of his 1st 4 Tests as NZ Head Coach.

Argentina vs Australia: -

Certainly not quite the result I was expecting.... A win for the Pumas yes, but Crikey - if the Pumas play like this in a couple of week's time, things are going to be interesting against SA!!

If ever there was a game of two halves…. Australia went in at HT 20-17 up – at one point leading the Pumas by 20-3, although their 1st try was a tad questionable IMHO. The Pumas actually had a try (quite rightly) disallowed moments after the Crims “scored” their 1st…. Australia seemed to be on top for the first 30mins or so, (Argentina’s handling errors playing a big part) but thereafter things truly went Tits Up for them. The Pumas bounce back with 2 tries of their own before HT.

The 2nd Half saw the Pumas continuing where they left off, storming to a 41-20 lead before Australia scored a consolation try in the 70th minute. Sadly for Australia, the Pumas weren’t done, crossing the line a further FOUR times in the final 10 minutes!

Argentina outscored Australia 50 vs 7 in the 2nd Half, taking the scoreline to a resounding 67-27 win…. The highest score against Australia in their history. The records will show Australia’s biggest defeat came in the form of a 53-8 loss to SA in 2009, but hell….

An "incident" during the recent Fiji vs Tonga match - believe it or not the Ref only gave a Yellow Card initially, but under Review the TMO upgraded it to "20 Minute Red Card"..... Utterly ridiculous! I like the idea of the "Bunker" where Yellow Cards can be reviewed and upgraded if necessary, and also tend to agree with the "20 Minute Red Card" IF the offense is a borderline Red Card. But this was way beyond the threshold and could have caused serious injury. A Straight Red, off for the entirety of the match and a hefty ban to follow IMHO..... Despite the obvious amusement of the two idiotic French (speaking) commentators.... :banghead:

Those Tongans certainly have hard heads, but OUCH!!

Women's Internationals - England versus New Zealand, 14:30

I think I might have a look at this, at least the first half. I think these are the top 2 teams in the worlds, so it will be interesting to compare the standards with the men's game.

It's on BBC1 and iPlayer.

Nah, not for me. I gave it 10 minutes, but there are too many errors, missed tackles, kicking away possession.
And I must confess that the girlie haka didn't impress: ludicrous rather than intimidating.

Tried watching the Women's Rugby on a few occasions, but Engurland and the "Black Ferns" were so far ahead of the pack (far greater investment and Professional Playing Pool) it was hardly worth watching. Those teams themselves have had a few close games facing each other, but much like you DM, it's not for me....

Oh, Rugby Heaven this weekend - loads on!! :thumb:

We have Round 5 of the Rugby Championship and also the start of the United Rugby Championship and Premiership Rugby seasons - hell, I won't mention the French Pro 14.... With the Boxing and F1 also on, my "Brownie Point Balance" is going to be well in the Red and this weekend is going to cost me!

In all honesty, there's simply far too many matches to list or review, but this link will provide some details: -

https://www.wheresthematch.com/live-rugby-union-on-tv/

The standouts for me (but make your own mind up and obviously aside from the Rugby Championship) have to be: -

Bath vs Northampton - Friday 20th KO 7:45pm (UK) - TNT Sports/Discovery + (A repeat of last year's Final - hopefully Bath will stay with 15 men this time!).
Dragons vs Ospreys - Saturday 21st KO 3:00pm (UK) - Premier Sports 2
Exeter vs Tigers -Saturday 21st KO 3:05pm (UK) - TNT Sports/Discovery +
Sale Sharks vs Harlequeens - Sunday 22nd KO 3:pm (UK) - TNT Sports/Discovery +

As for the Rugby Championship, it could be an interesting Round - team changes, the Pumas at home, Aus with players coming in after injury and others surprisingly dropped...

The Pumas vs SA could be the better game IMHO, but hell - I'm going to attempt both!! :thumb:

Now, now, don't extract the urine - there's a spot of turmoil with the coaching set up at Ospreys and some changes within the squad at the Dragons. It could well be interesting.... Well, at least for us on the correct side of the border :neener:
