Hi Steve G - yes, sounds like the tudor style building kind of over the bridge on High St. One of quite a few there doing decent coffee. Last I saw though there were more folks at Starbucks!

That sounds like the place although it was quite a few years ago and I don’t remember there being a Starbucks in Lincoln at that time.
It wouldn’t have mattered if there was; my mother wouldn’t have gone in it if there was a Tudor style tea-room in the same city!

Very sensible of your Mum too Steve! Starbucks only opened there about 3 years ago. Right near that quaint old place as well. Thats progress!

Don't they have wi-fi in Hua Hin starbucks. Not that that makes it worth it....

Yes Randy, it was one of the selling points when the HH branch opened. They would do better to advertise squattie potties at the Birmingham Starbucks.

I can never understand why we go to the foreign coffee houses in Thailand and pay outrageous prices for second rate coffee and tea. On almost any street in Hua Hin one can find Thai cha yen and Thai cafe yen, which are far tastier than anything the foreign shops sell. Also, a large iced bag of Thai cha yen is only fifteen baht.

The dirty little secret of the foreign coffee houses (brand name omitted on purpose) is that their name is better than their coffee. In fact, they are well known to use the cheapest coffees in the world. The leftist, liberal founders in Seattle cloke their use of the world's cheapest beans under the mantle of supporting the Arabs, Indonesians, third worlders, etc. When in fact they are just avoiding the good and expensive beans from South America, adding lots of sugar and selling us bitter garbage at unbelievable prices. I for one avoid them, even though I am an American.
