Locations that serve a "good" American / English breakfast.

Restaurants, food, beverage, hawkers, and local markets and suppliers. This is the place for discussion on Hua Hin's culinary options.

HaHa, my friend went for breakfast straight from the gym. They considered wearing gym wear unsuitable attire to eat breakfast in.

Excellent menu of healthy stuff, fruit bowls and bagels
The Full English are 299 and 199 which includes a premium coffee or tea.

I had the small with a Cappuccino and it was enough for me.
Excellent quality Sausage and Back bacon
With the Soi 94 roadworks, this is in an area I generally avoid at the moment. However, I was driving that way yesterday, and thought. "Brunch!!" When I got there, it was closed with a restaurant for sale sign outside. Disappointing.
I've just read that Flavours is open again. Not sure if they're doing breakfasts.

I went to Crusoes today and had the standard 220 baht full English option although there were plenty of other 'breakfast' options. There didn't appear to be any time limits ie all day breakfasts
My plate - see photo
Eggs(2)- fine but slightly overcooked
Bacon- without doubt the most amount of bacon I've ever had in Thailand! 2 big rashers and 2 small. And it was very good too. A bit leathery tho, tough to cut but very tasty
Sausages(2)--very nice
Buttered mushrooms- yummy
Tomatoes--fine I can live without them
Potato/onion cake--very good
Toast(2)- not great, didn't like the bread and undercooked(a common problem in Thailand). Not enough butter, didn't bother asking for more.
Beans - in separate dish were fine
Tea- can't comment as used my own decaf but the hot water was.... Hot! (not always the case here often it's luke warm )
Cutlery - some people fussy about sausages, I'm fussy about other things incl cutlery. Blunt knives are a pet hate. This cutlery was brand new, felt good in the hand but the knife wasn't the sharpest (eg 99 cafe give steak knives as standard so no issue there)
Layout - it's large and open sided so no aircon just get near a fan if possible
Location - good, a quiet Soi off 94 so way quieter than Pat's Place... peaceful ambience, very little passing traffic. I think Crusoes is part of the Castaways Hotel next door.
Service - v good albeit a bit 'stiff' not super smiley but perfectly fine. Food came in good time but they were not busy
Value for money? I thought my plate was fairly priced versus others
Would I return? Most definitely! Image

We were invited to join them once, but there is a dress code for breakfast - one friend was thrown out one morning. I finished with dress codes when I finished eating in wardrooms, so we never went.

I think the dress code was when it was Sofitel though. Not sure if it is still the case.
What was the dress code?
I might have been wrong but have never lied

I see the Irish place on Soi 12 is open again, now as McQuillans. Different owner each time they close and re-open?

The Irish breakfast looks good. Wonder if their Sunday roasts are still great value?

Soi 12? I don't think so.

It's in Smorphrong. Chonprathan 24 off the khlong road, bridge 8.

Well if not then I was confused by their Thai address 12 10 ซอยหมู่บ้านสมอโพรง ตำบลหัวหิน อำเภอหัวหิน ประจวบคีรีขันธ์ 77110

I don't know Soi numbers at that end of Hua Hin!

Maybe if somebody had said it was the re-named Rafertys, it might have been easier.

I couldn't recall the name or I would've. That's why I tried to qualify it with 'the Irish place that keeps closing and re-opening'. Obvs NOT Father Ted.

Calm down, dear!
