From Jaime’s BBC article:
Zoo spokeswoman Ye Mingxia said the panda was unharmed and they were not considering punishing Mr Zhang yet. "He's suffered quite a bit of a shock," she told the Associated Press by telephone.

Hi Jaime, she doesn’t make it clear who has suffered the most shock, Mr Zhang or Gu Gu the panda.

I would imagine Jaime would be more interested in what it tasted like.

Hi Guess,
I know that some Chinese like to eat Pandas gall bladders, but Mr. Zhang must have been really p*ssed if he thought that Gu Gu was going to let him eat it while he was still strolling around in his zoo cage!

The way I read it was that Mr. Zhang failed to taste anything. He had his wrong teeth in at the time, and couldn't get through the Panda's fur.

I do believe, however, that Panda fur has certain attributes that firm up your stools - maybe Jaime could include this as part of his ongoing research?

How come you all missed the obvious - that this guy was drunk enough to vault into a panda's cage, try to hug it & then bite it in retaliation after only 4 beers? Ever since my stint in HK, I've thought that Chinese have no capacity to hold their drink & this just proves it!
Pity pandas aren't just a smidge more violent IMHO. :P

With all Jaime’s interests in eating furry animals, I think he should consider moving to Scotland; I found this line in a short story by Fife author Ian Rankin:
“The tenement stairwell smelt of deep-fried tomcat, and the cold step beneath him was stained and scuffed.â€
